Aadhav Arjuna Holding Two Posts: AIADMK's Major Political Controversy Unveiled

In the context of AIADMK Flags Concern,

it is noteworthy that Aadhav Arjuna holds two or more posts at the same time, which poses a problem.AIADMK has expressed grave concerns about Aadhav Arjuna holding so many powerful offices together in Tamil Nadu's political landscape, which is heating up. What is the real problem then?

 who is Aadhav Arjuna?

The TVK head isn't just any politician. He is the MLA of Villivakkam, General Secretary of the election campaign management of TVK and President of the Basketball Federation of India. All that power in one man's hands.

The Real Problem: Defections and Power

In the run-up to the 2026 polls, Arjuna has been responsible for a series of defections for the AIADMK. Three prominent MLAs—Maragatham Kumaravel, P Sathyabama and S Jayakumar—resigned to join TVK under his leadership.

AIADMK president R B Udhayakumar spoke out against Arjuna and expressed worry over the use of 'money power and administrative lures' to recruit cadres. He described the procedure as ‘body-snatching’ and said that the situation would have ‘severe political consequences.’

Arjuna's Defense:

Arjuna denies everything. He says no incentives are being offered and that 90% of the members of the AIADMK naturally wish to join TVK. He attributed AIADMK's "14 consecutive electoral defeats" as reason for the workers to drift away.

Why It Matters:

If one politician has legislative, organisational and administrative powers, then it generates red flags. It's not only about losing party members, it's about power centralization and democratic accountability.

Should one man have so much influence, it may be asked in the context of AIADMK's complaint. Tamil Nadu may be watching this unfold and the solution may change the face of Tamil Nadu politics.
